who knew in Denmark....

i was watching Oprah and in Denmark they leave their baby outside to sleep and if they go into a cafe` they leave the baby in the stroller outside. how weird is that?? i would love to live in a place where there would be no worry about your child getting abducted or anything. the lady even said she never heard of a case where a baby has been stolen.   she said nobody wants to steal a new baby true but still how nice would that be to have no worries. did anybody else see this? maybe someone from Denmark will chime in.

i love denmark and sweden... i would move there in a heartbeat if it didnt mean leaving friends and family!

I've never heard that either... and I live in Europe. My trips North to Sweden & Denmark revealed no babies outdoors, unattended, all were with their parent(s) in stores etc. Nobody would leave a baby out in public like that... few would even leave a purebred dog for fear of it being stolen and resold! Where on earth did you read that?

I am in France and have never heard of that either however I could see how thats possible the Danish, Swedes and Norweigans have some of the lowest crime rates in the world.

True. It's rare, but it does happen. Mostly in cafés or in a little shop, but the baby are always in eyesight. I think people do it because the prams are to big to get into the shop. We have a lot of small shops here, lol. I don't now about us being the happiest people in the world though.

I lived in Poland for most of my life and there people used to live kids in strollers in front of the store also, but not for a long time though. I remember my mom used to do that with my sister when she was really small. I don't know how it's there now though.

The grass is always greener.  I would to live in America, preferably Florida. It's so cold here. lol.

Now you just know some creep is going to go to Denmark to try to steal some "unattended" baby
