So I'm having a little issue, Adalyn sleeps well and wakes up every 3 hours overnight and then goes right back to sleep after eating EXCEPT for her last overnight feeding, the only way she goes back to sleep is if I lay her in bed with me. I have been doing this the past few nights and I'm afraid I'm starting a really bad habit and want to nip it in the bud NOW! What can I do? She is awake a lot during the day so I don't think that's the cause.

TIA!

Ava still sleeps with me...in the bend of my arm so I may not have good advice LOL but if it were me I would let her sleep with me from 4 on if that helps her sleep better.  She is still pretty young so doesn't know night from day yet.  Ava has nights where she is awake from 4-6 still.  I make it as dark and boring as possible and keep her in the room unless I need to go change her.  She no longer needs changing during the night so that helps once they are to that stage because they won't fully wake up.  With Ava I try to not get out of bed at night so she is only 1/2 awake til she falls back asleep.  Adalyn is doing well for a new baby though.  Ava was WIDE awake most of the night for what seemed like many many weeks. ;)

You might want to try increase her daytime sleep.  Long night time wakings can sometimes be associated with overtired behavior.  It's worth a try to see if it helps.

I think that a lot of newborn kinks just work themselves out with a little time.

If my boys woke up really early, I would always bring them in bed with me.  Eventually they just started sleeping through the night in their own crib.  Do what you need to do to get sleep girl!!!
