I've never had this happen to me, and I guess this is why they say every baby's different, but...can a baby really be cutting a tooth at 3 months? Reina sucks on her fingers vigorously, and is drooling like mad, plus lets out cries of pain randomly through the day. If she is teething, can I use gum numbing gels this early?! Help!

Praying for those who lost a baby; may their angels take comfort in heaven.

My babies always started teething symptoms early, but the earliest a tooth actually popped through was 4 months with DS2.  I do know a friend whose baby got his first tooth at 2-3 months old, so it's possible!  I'm not sure about the teething gels, though it's probably okay? Confused Huh?

Xander started teething at 3 months, and his first tooth cut through at 4 months. I am not sure about the teething gel, but the nurse who visits me told me it's not recommended by them anymore because it can apparently numb them to the point where they stop breathing if they swallow it.
