I'm confused now. How do i get it to float using either sylk or preseed then? so sorry for being dense here....

Yes I used 3 drops of preseed mixed with semen, then floated EW on top of it. It has worked two times out of three. The one time it failed the EW were warmer than the semen.

Tamara - if there is any mixing at all, like down the sides is that bad?? I try to be so careful with the TT but it seems like there is always some slight mixture after 45-1 hour in the incubator. (could that be just from the sperm swimming up?)

If the answer is YES that is BAD. THEN...if I do just TBM is it better to insert EW inside then mix BS in the semen OR put preseed in semen and try to get EW to float on top in the instead cup?

not if you can get a clear ew sample to use.  you dont want semen in your ew

oh great question!!!!  I have never heard of the preseed/semen with ew on top idea before.  thats a great idea.  But didnt your last girl come from tbm?  i want you to do only msu

Oh good! Yes dd2 was TBM so that scares me. I know she must have been a super X, and I want to try to get those fast girls out of there. But that time it was just weeks after my m/c. I was anxious to get a BFP and the other sway factors were not perfect, so I'm trying to get all factors in order.

Yes just tried it tonight and it didn't work! really dissapointed as I think this is the last thing possible to try. Considering swim down now as suggested by Tamara as the egg white sunk beautifully to the bottom. I need to ask more about swim down but think it is just doing the opposite, ie, removing the top layer and using this as your sample and discarding the bottom egg white with hopefully the super fast boys in it. If anyone knows about this please share would really appreciate it.

Oh thats such a shame. How much did you use with how big a sample? Did you mix it? I have done SD quite a few times and had no mixing which was great. I was just concerned i did not get a very good sort but its certainly better than nothing. I just think it matters all the more that dh ph is low enough and the ph ew is high enough to get a good sort. xx

What do you ladies think to doing SU with the mesh but also placing a few drops of sylk in th ebottom of the test tube (before adding the semen) to more so attract the xx to the lower part of the test tube (becasue of the lower ph of the sylk) or would this maybe stun some of the Y's and therefore inhibit their journey upwards? What do you think- my first attempt is in an hours time!! please help! xx

Ohh I am attempting tonight as well! Maybe put a drop on the bottom, the the sample, then the EW??? Maybe post this in the Nov thread as well in case PD and L4Bs, Tamara are checking this thread?? GL!!!!
