Dr. Silverman in NY

Has anyone used him or heard of him in Scarsdale NY? Thanks!

I have seen him on TV with IVF shows.

 I know this is an older post, but in case you're still wondering... I used Dr. Silverman in Scarsdale for my DD.

 

And you got your baby girl? You had an IUI? were you happy with his services?

 Yes, I got my baby girl.

 I didn't do IUI. I actually did IVF with Ericsson. I had a tubal ligation in 2000 so I had to do IVF to conceive. Dr. Ericsson did the sorting in his Scarsdale office and we drove the sorted sample back to Bridgeport, CT, to my doctor's office there. We didn't do PGD so I don't know what percentage of my embryos were male or female. I'm obviously happy with the end result, but of course I can't know for sure it was due to the sorting.

I was happy with his service and found him and his employees there to be very nice people. It was a bit expensive, but I think that's due to his location more than anything else (Scarsdale has a very high cost of living). So, for his location he's probably priced fairly. It just looks like a high dollar sign to those of us out of the area!

 

 

We met with him for an IUI, Ericsson attempt. i found him to be very honest but at the end we decided against it bc it just didnt seem the odds were that high for a girl and carried the risk of twins...maybe we should have tried it. we did try a MSU/IUI that claimed to have better odds but we didnt get pregnant the first time and didnt try it again. We are going to try naturally. I just feel like the disappointment could be so much greater if you do low tech and get an opposite. who knows. congratulations on your baby girl. that is wonderful! wishing you the best!

Hello Jesterette, I am looking into this as well. I leave 40 min form Scarsdale. What is am IUI? I am considering the Ericsson method but a bit sceptic. I am going to have my 3ed boy and want to make sure I have a girl next. How much is Dr Silverman charging for Ericsson with PDG or IVF do you know? Congrat on your abby girl!

Im looking into (lightly..we both are leaning towards PGD)..Ericson, so any info is appreciated.  Im not that far from Scarsdale either.

Really! Congrats...so are you def. pursuing hi-tech for baby 4?

yes...I want a DD so badly! DH doesn't want to hear about baby#4 right now which I understand. I'll wait a few months after the baby is born to talk about it again but in my mind, there is no question about it. I am going for it. I would love to get pregant agaain next summer.... Are you going to do the Ericsson method with Dr Silverman?

I probably wont do Ericson w/ Dr. Silverman....I really need a guarentee.  But I am looking into all of this and trying to decide.  I am looking into Dr. Grifo at NYU.  He was actually a pioneer in the PGD field and there are women on IG who have successfuly used him to get their DD.  So, I am looking to cycle about 6 months after the birth.  I dont want to wait too long..I'll be 34 when I do cycle. 

well, I really hope you'll keep me posted on your journey and that it works for you! And if it doesu...I might go that route..I need a guarantee too.... Do you know the cost that Dr Grifo is charging?

OK..I just had to go back to my PMs to find the answer..  The woman I spoke to spent 22,000 including meds w/ Dr. Grifo.
