Congratulations Iris and good luck to everybody else!
Just an update on where we are at - we ended up with 10 fertilised eggs, 2 were abnormal, 2 were boys and 6 were girls. Of the 6 girls, we ended up at day 5 with only 1 at the blast stage, 3 at the stage before that and 2 at the stage before that. We weren't given any grades or numbers for them - so sorry if this sounds vague - hope you all understand what I mean. We transferred 2 - the 1 at the blast stage and 1 of the ones at the stage down. We froze the other 4. Dr Kolb said they were still good - just the one at the blast stage was the best.
I guess I felt a bit disappointed that they didn't all make the blast stage - did anyone else have this experience and does it make them any less likely to take? I am thinking if this isn't successful, will the chances of the FET with the other 4 be not good? Does anyone know what this all means really as I guess I should have asked some more questions but didn't.
Anyway, fingers crossed on the 2ww.
Good luck to all those also waiting.
