With 8 of us in the family switching to our winter clothes is a NIGHTMARE!  I finally got the boys clothes done and just have to get into the girls room to pull their summer ones out and put the winter ones away but my room is a disaster!  I have a pile of Goodwill things and a pile of things I need to get into totes for storage.  We did 12 loads of laundry the other day after we got the clothes out of storage and I sent 9 boxes of stuff to Goodwill!!  AHHHHHHH!!!!!

The scariest part of the day (for me) was after we brought the boxes out of storage.  They were in my FIL's barn and we could tell that a mouse had gotten into one of the boxes because there were pieces of cloth everywhere but I figured it was long gone.  Well, as I was pulling the clothes out I saw a mouse and freaked.  I screamed at DH to get outside and he is as big of a wimp as I am when it comes to mice so he just kicked the box over on the patio and the mouse ran out.  However, when the clothes fell out so did a bunch of pink mice babies and that freaked me out even more!!!  He got them into the grass and I refused to open anymore boxes without him.  Needless to say everything that's going back into storage is going to be in a tote!!

Ewwww that mice thing is super gross!  I wouldn't be able to use those clothes anymore.  I let my SIL borrow some baby clothes and there were spiders living in the box as well as mold, because she left it on her porch.  Let's just say when I got the clothes back I only kept two things out of the whole box and had to wash them like 2-3 times.

Anyways, I was going to say I hate clothing season changes too.  The problem here is that the weather will start to get a little chilly but still goes back and forth being hot still.  So I can't put the girls in long sleeves yet, just light jackets.  So I have to wait until the weather is completely done changing to cold like mid-October before I can finally put all of the summer stuff away.  So I have storage tubs and boxes everywhere until then since I don't want to lug them up and down from the basement multiple times.  So annoying!

I'm having the same problem here- the weather's been so wacky I haven't switched them out yet. Also I'm so bummed our consignment store closed so now I'm really not looking forward to it because I NEVER know what to store and what to donate....dreading it! I didn't mind getting rid of stuff since I knew I'd get $ for it, but now it's going to be hard to know what to part with...

I absolutely HATE it. I have 2 attics with TONS of clothes in both and it overwhelms me so I usually just buy new stuff. Stupid.

At this point of the seasno I stil need the sumemr and winter out, so every room has a huge tote in it full of one season..

I just hate it.

Screaming here! I know about mice. Last night I heard one inside the wall -just hope it wasn't chewing wires! Do they?

I have our stuff in the attic-more mice. I am converting to bins too. I have a lot to do. I kinda like the switching and seeing some of the clothes the older ones wore-fitting the younger ones. I could do without the extra wash though.

yes I HATE IT! I just spent hrs this morning going through just the GIRL clothing and had two large garbage bags full of stuff that will be too small next spring. Also switched winter with spring and put the spring away.

My boys I go through their cloths every couple of months rotating and weeding out the bad stuff. I also have camp cloths at our camp. I had another large bag of clothing of their stuff.

And I am bad for just buying new haha. I have shoping problems

I don't actually have to do this, so that's nice.  It's usually hot here, so in the couple of months when it's cooler I throw a sweater or jacket on the boys and they're good to go.

 It IS a nightmare.

I just casually start changing them out..as the clothes (summer) get washed, they get put up and out of the way, and I start adding winter...eventually they are all in their place. I have to go slow or else it gets too overwhelming.
