Mothers to 4 boys or more...

I have not posted here in over a year, but I took a peek today and just have to respond to your post. ( I am a mom of 4 boys) PLEASE do not feel odd about having 4 boys... It really is more " normal' than you think... I know of a few families with 4 boys and hear of more and more all the time....But here's the best part: It is VERY common to see the mega-families with 3-6 kids of the same gender in a row. The duggars had 6 boys in a row at one point...I LOVE big families and I'm always reading about them... I would say that at least half of the BIG families have 3-6 of the same gender in row at some point... It's just very very common I just want you to know how normal your family is I know, I know... we get the comments from people too... I am getting the feeling that our society just hates kids... I am not so sure that the comments are entirely gender related anymore... For me, I LOVE doing the big family thing and I want more kids of either gender. A girl would be nice in there eventually... but ultimately, I want more KIDS... My opinon is that God intended kids to be a blessing. The old testament makes it pretty clear... So... it used to be that couples said " The more the merrier".... They were not aiming for a small family. It is my opinon that there would be less GD if we all wanted large familes......I know that not everyone can have one... just saying that all children were meant to be a blessing...and for the people who don't use birth control ( like the Duggars) they eventually have a mix of genders anyway...

 BTW: I LOVE my 4th boy too... OH he's fun!

I did have four boys for the longest time (my biggest gap lol) before dh decided we could have a couple more.  I came accross a few people who had four boys also but like you said there are not many.  I have found a lot more since being on the web, some who have ended up with four later and others who went on to have more boys or a girl.  We are due to have our eighth little boy in less than six weeks.  We will never have a daughter and I would have loved too but boys really are great and I'm happy to be having another boy too :)

Totally not what I expected for my life lol considering I'm a girly girl with very girly interests but I think the boys are used to it.

I've got 4 gorgeous lads and have always been happy with having boys - we are expecting our surprise baby as we hadn't planned on more really and i'm finding myself hoping for pink this time althogh I know a 5 a side team would be just as lovely xx

I have 4 boys too.  I never knew anyone who had 4 or more of one gender until it happened to me.  Everyone I knew had 3/1 or something like that.  I still can't believe I have all one gender.  It just blows my mind.  I still hope for a girl one day, but my DH says it's not going to happen, so I work every day at coming to acceptance at being a one gender family.

Same here! My husband says it's not going to happen either[:'(]. Im not upset that I have 4 boys, I couldnt be more proud. I am just upset that I have all boys. Some days are easier than others, the bad days are awful but I am trying to accept things and not let it take over my life. Easier said than done though.
