Ovulation predictor says I will O in 24-36 hours.  When would be a good time for my O+ 12 attempt?  I was thinking tomorrow night, at about 38 hours after the positive OPK.  WWYD?  I have read the boards, and I know about checking yourself...I just can't seem to do it.  I can monitor CM, but I can never really reach my cervix...plus it grosses me out.  Embarrassed  Any help appreciated.  And don't worry, I know that nothing is fool proof.  I just want to level the playing field a bit.  Happy Wink  We fully expect to have boy #3...and are okay with that.  Just thought I'd give it a bit of a go.  I am also doing some other light swaying methods.  Love Ya!

I'm not an expert....but if your cm turns clear you are about to ovulate.  If I were trying for a girl, I'd BD 12 hours or maybe a little longer after you notice the clear cm.  Do you notice any cramps when ovulating?  Sometimes I get cramps and it helps to pinpoint ovulation.

Is this your first time using OPK's? Or do you know on average when you O (CD)?  It is really hard to say.  For example, me, I typically O 12 hours after my first +OPK.  I have been able to figure this out by tracking BBT and using a Fertility Monitor along with OPK's.  So knowing this, I would time O+12 24hrs. after my +OPK.  I hope that makes sense.

If you are not traking BBT or anything else, I would say that as much as it grosses you out, try to check and watch your CM.  If that is still a no go, you could always BD on the later side and if you get a BFN, do it a few hours sooner next cycle.  I will say that on average, a women O's 24hrs. after the first +OPK, so for this month, BD 36-38hrs. after your +OPK and if you get a BFN, BD 30-36hrs. after your +OPK, etc.  That is what I would do if I knew nothing else about my cycle.  It takes 4 hours for the sperm to captivate the egg, so technically you have between O+12 and O+18 to BD, assuming the egg lasts for 24hrs. total.

You have to wait until your cm turns cloudy/creamy... that is 12 hours after O.  Don't do it when you have clear cm at all!  You could ovulate up to 48 hours after your +OPK, so I don't know about just doing it at 38 hours, I'd look for the creamy cm.
