So I had my OB appt. today with another (groan) doctor. He was just the same as the other Dr.......having a large baby is not reason to induce. We do inductions after 41 weeks, if the baby is too large, we'd just go straight to scheduling a C-section, the studies say blah, blah, blah......
Yes. I understand. Do you understand, Doctor, that I am NOT a STUDY? I am a person who has had 2 other successful inductions and had a 10 lb, 6 oz baby and I would be fine. Baby would be fine at 39 weeks, there is no reason why you can't induce.
At least this doctor understood my rational as to why I would not consent to having another gestational diabetes test.
Anyways, I left that appt. feeling so mad. 
I still hadn't heard back from the midwife (that I saw last week and loved...she was the one that said she could have me induced in my 39th week and she wasn't concerned the baby was too large, she knew my body could handle it.) and really wanted to speak with her about everything.
She ended up called me back this afternoon. She completely agreed with me about not taking the gestational diabetes test. AND she said that since I see *her* on Monday (9/14) that she would induce me that week. She was fine doing that, no matter what those doctors were saying. YIPEE!!!!! 
So, unless I go into labor before that, I will be induced sometime next week. I am so, so happy a for sure end is in sight. If given the choice, I will probably opt to be induced next Thursday (9/17), but we'll see when the midwife wants me to go in......
