hole in condom for TTC pink

 I know there have been plenty of past threads about this issue, but wondering if I can open up a new one about why exactly the hole in the condom method favors girls

any help greatly appreciated

Latex sways pink, the hole in the condom cuts down the amount of sperm that get through and lower sperm counts sway pink, and it's supposed to be a spermicide-lubed condom, and the spermicide, which is acidic, sways pink.

 thank you for that. but isn't the idea of spermicide to actually kill all the sperm? if lower sperm count sways girl then with TBM wouldn't that mean it's better to just insert a small portion of the sperm ?

The amount of spermicide on the condoms is quite small and isn't enough to kill all the sperm. Condoms oopses happen all the time, even with spermicidal condoms.

I think its the 3 combined (latex - only the sperm getting through the 1 hole - and surviving the spermicide) sways that makes a good girl sway. Which means that the amount of sperm is much less and the theory is that supposed more girl sperm will make it through, because of the latex and the spermicide. Also I remember reading somewhere here on IG, that studies show that of the ladies that got pg. with a spermicide condom (by accident) there was a higher % of girls.

GL Im on to our 2nd condom sway in a couple of weeks.

I'm thinking of trying this out for our first attempt in May.  I'm doing a cut off I guess I'll just use the "faulty" condom on and around my cut off date, but not for the entire frequent bd.  If I don't get preggo from it in May, I'm going to drop it because I want to get preggo in the end of spring/summer time! :)

It says on the packet if there is spermicide on the condom, and you might have to seach/google to get latex condom with spermicide. Or maybe its just where I live, we couldnt buy the latex condoms around here, so DH just googled and found them online and bought them there (much easier ). And just use the seach engine on IG and seach condom sway and lots of threads will show up. GL

Well I was on BC pills and we used a condom whenIi got pregnant with SURPRISE #4.  She's a Girl....so it worked for me!!

WoooHooooo sounds GREAT! Congrats getting your DD.

Can you put two holes in the condom? Or does that defeat the purpose? Do you still have to follow the girl diet and  swaying rules like 0+12 while using the condom theory?

Bump. Anyone have any thoughts?

I'm not going to use this method anymore actually, gonna just wait until May or June to ttc without a condom.  But if I were going to do it I would put just one hole...the sperm are microscopic so even if the liquid portion doesn't all get through, the sperm will. :)
