While I was, in later posts, truly trying to understand MDB's viewpoint, I realize that doing so here was inapproriate. I also recognize that anything I wished to address with MDB's initial post would have been better taken up in a PM.

Please accept my apologies, Wilma, MDB, CC, and all the other posters here. I was having a bad day the other day, and FTR I regret getting so caught up in this. It won't happen again.
