Cabbage Gender Test

 I was wondering of anyone has heard of this or tried it Here are the steps below...

1. Go to the store and buy a red cabbage. The size of the cabbage does not matter at all.

2. Cut the cabbage into big chunks. The smaller you cut the chunks, the better your results will turn out.

3. Boil some water on the stove and put in the chunks of cabbage

4. Let the water and cabbage boil for about 10 minutes or so. When the ten minutes is up, remove it from the heat.

5. Grab a cup and go to the bathroom! Pee into the cup.

6. In a separate cup, mix 1 part of your urine to 1 part of the water that the cabbage was boiled in. No need to save the cabbage unless you want to eat it. It's pretty tasty, so you might want to eat it!

If the urine/cabbage water turns pink or red then this indicates a boy result!

If the urine/cabbage water turns purple, this indicates a girl result.

Will do but I'm not eating that cabbage LOL

 Oh its so good though!! After I take the water out for me to pee in, Im going to add some sausage and salt and let it cook longer! YUM YUM!! plus it helps with gas!!

 Sunny-- please tell us how did it go? it seems like one of those tests that are based on the pH of the urine..

I have not done it yet I'm going to the store later today so I will try it tonight.

Palms~ Have you checked your urine pH? I gave all my sway stuff to a dear friend who wants to try for a DS so I don't have any pH strips to check mine I'm thinking of picking up a Intelligender test today from the drug store and doing it for fun. They are only 25 dollars at my CVS I think I need to be 10 weeks so almost there I will post my results

Hiya, the cabbage test is just a pH test, may be easier just to get a pH testing strip!! mine was acidic, hope that means im having a girly : )

I took it last night my results were a med. red color so a BOY result.

I also limited my fluids and held it for 3 hours prior to the test. I will update when I have the big scan

Do you have to do this test before so many weeks? I already know what I am having but I could take it and see what it says just to let you girls know if its very accurate?

i dont think so let us know im nearly 14 weeks and it says im having a girl but i gota wait and see xx

I am 32 weeks and it came out a really nice magenta/red colour straight away.

But not a 100% sure what I am having all though most guesses were for girl on the nub pic thing. A later ultrasound showed a possible boy - again not 100% Something inside me seems to keep screaming boy long before I took this test - we'll see I guess

I'll just make some bubble and squeak with the cabbage instead!!! LOL!!

Going to try this today! Will update with results.
