I'm confused about this moon thing, lol! How do I know what moon pahse I am in? For example, I looked at a  link that states the moon phases, but I get confused.

From the time that it says full moon, do I count the days after that initial 'full moon' and then count all of those days as full moon until the new moon begins? And vise versa?

I'm confused because I always thought that if the moon looked 'full' it was a full moon. But someone said that no, it is only from the time the moon is 100% full and thereafter until the new moon.

I'm confused....please help.

Yes, I believe full moon continues until the first day of New Moon, then New moon goes until the first day of full. HTH!!

My question about the whole moon thing is....you ovulate when you ovulate. And since you can't change that, or the phase of the moon, I guess you just keep your fingers crossed that the moon is in the "right" phase when you need to BD? I didn't even look at the moon because there was nothing I could do about it, although we did BD last Sunday for our attempt. Maybe I will look and see what it was!

I totally agree with you!!!  I've been going crazy trying to decide what month I should start ttc because of the moon phase and season.  Some women go on bcp's or take more supps to change their O date to a new or full moon, but honestly for me, I don't want to mess around with that stuff.

BUT, what you CAN control is the season that you start to ttc.  For a girl summer is best, for a boy, winter is best.  So, that's how I came to my decision to try in June.  I know it's far away, but I will have no regrets and it'll be worth it to me.

BabyDust292, I did check and I think we BD in the full moon, which I THINK is supposed to be good for a boy. I guess I got lucky for once! I conceived my last daughter in December, so I am not totally believing the whole winter/summer thing either. I would definitely not try and mess with my cycle to make myself ovulate at the right time of the moon because I am nervous that it is so hard to get pregnant in the first place. My husband laughed when I mentioned the whole moon thing to him, so I feel like we are OK if we don't worry about this aspect of swaying. There is SO much else to worry about. LOL

Yup looks like it was a full moon. Good luck to those of you hoping for boys! I BD'd too but was hoping for a girl. Yikes.

yeah, the moon phase is nothing to obsess or worry about.  But it's great that you got lucky with it!  As or me, I'm just going to hope that the supps and diet will help me through as well as all of the other - ions things I will be using.  I'm not going to start trying in april if it's a new moon because i don't want a winter baby.  So, june it is for me ;)

Oh ok, so when the new or full moon starts it is considered a new or full moon unitl the opposite begins. ok, now that makes sence.

Back when I got preggo with my 2nd DD I though I conceived on a full moon because the darn moon was full that night, lol! Come to find out (based on the moon phase chart) I was still on a new phase even though tthe moon was full.

Wow, like they say...we learn something new everyday =D .

As for me, I too will no be messing with trying to ovulate during full moon. It seems like I am going to be ovulating during a new moon phase for the upcoming months and oh well, lol!

I guess I have to do the ion thing and try to change that as much as possible by wearing my 'blin-bling' lol! and whatnot =D
