I hope so!! I'm 1.5 days in, so this is looking promising ...honestly though, I really can't wait any longer than Jan., I am so ready for this.  I know it's not "ideal" in the perfect sense, but nothing in life is perfect, and I'm only human, I just can't take the waiting anymore.  The spermicidal condom thing is what is allowing me to keep my plan in tact.  I feel like it is such a conservative method that trying in Jan. is no big deal.  If I do get preggo right away (which I don't think I will) then I will have no regrets either way since I was so careful about everything and did everything I could.  Ugh, I just hope I O during the new moon in Jan. otherwise I do have to wait.  I haven't gottne a + opk yet and am in cd17...if I go any longer than cd 20 without ovulating, then I might be in danger zone of ovulating in a full moon in Jan...BUT, if in Oct. and Nov. I ovulate a bit earlier than I'll be ok...so just hoping I O soon!!!! :0)

That makes sense for you then to do abstaining.  But can you figure out a cut off on that exact day?  Can you see a fade in pattern on your opk's??  I usually can't see this and even if I do, sometimes I O later than I usually do, that's why frequent bd until I see a + opk is the way to go for me.

Hi babydust!  No I have no idea how to figure out a cut off because my CBEFM is giving me hell right now! This is my first cycle using it since off the pill, and I am now on day 23 with NO PEAK!! I've had 5 low days, and 14 high days!! When will the high end and give me my peak already?! Anyway, I am tempted, for when it's really time to ttc, to wait till I get a peak, and then bd. I know it's boy territory, but my cycles are so unpredictable! IDK

yeah, my cycles are unpredictable also!  I haven't even gotten a + opk yet and am already on cd 18..this is going to push my Jan. O date into possibly new moon territory.  So, I'm loading up on - ions right now...just bought a ton on ebay and spend soooo much money!  But hopefully it will be worth it, I tried to get the best bargains as I could.

So, I think frequent bd until you get a + opk just puts less stress on us and that alone lowers T levels, kwim?

yeah IKWYM about neg. ion stuff being crazy expensive! That's good it will push you into new moon. I think mine will push me to full moon. lol oh well. Well, like I said before, I did frequent with both, BUT the only difference was that for dd I believe we stopped right before O, and with ds we bd THROUGH O. HTH!

Oooh, so I would go with frequent bd if I were you, since you got dd that way, and like I said, it will probably be easier and less stressfull :0)

And yeah, I didn't realize how expensive all this stuff was going to be...just spend $300 dollars!!  And I still need a ton more stuff!...gonna wait until next month to get the other stuff.  It is what it is...will have to go into savings for the rest.  At least I work and I'm not going to tell dH any of this, hehe.

hahahahahah I.K.W.Y.M.!!!! It is exhausting thinking of how much everything is going to cost (and has cost so far!!) in the end!

This is going to sound bad, but another reason I don't want to do frequent is because between 2 kids, weight gain, busy schedules, etc., I really can't stand the thought of bd that much!!! Hey, we're not in college anymore! those rabbit days are o.v.e.r.! LOL

haha, I know what you mean!  Not looking foward to this part, but I feel this is the best way for me, so I'm just gonna have to go for it and hope for the best!
