Hi girls,

I am considering Ericsson in California, and I wanted to know if anyone has used Dr. Kamrava at the Beverly Hills clinic?  That is the closest "licensed" Ericsson provider to me, but since it's an hour drive, I have not been up there yet.  Anyone?

There is another Ericsson provider close who is less expensive...but he is not one of their "official" providers and I'm not sure if that makes a huge difference or not...?  I'm confused on what to do.  I met with the closer dr. and it looked like the exact same technology, but I'm not sure I'm comfortable with it.

thanks.

Yikes not sure I would use Dr. Kamrava. Just google him on the internet. He has a ton of negative press. I think he's actually the "Octomom's" dr. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/health/article5721333.ece

By the way, how did you find licensed Ericsson providers in anyway? I did a search a while ago and couldn't find anything. Thanks!

I used him briefly. He is octo mom dr. and also has done IVF on a few "mature" moms and gotten bad press that way. The way I looked at it was, I was trying to get pregnant and he provd he was good at doing that! Anyway, I really liked him and his staff. Let me know if you use hm. They also tried there best to work with my insurance which doesnt cover any infertility treatment! Good luck!

The Beverly Hills fertility doctor who implanted Octuplet mom Nadya Suleman has had several lawsuits filed against him in the past, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Dr. Michael Kamrava of West Coast IVF Clinic in Beverly Hills has been the target of several medical malpractice and general negligence suits, according to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com.

In one of the lawsuits, a 19-year old woman sued several people, including Dr. Kamrava for negligence after she claimed a misdiagnosis in her pre-natal care led to her baby being stillborn.

In another of the suits, a patient sued Dr. Kamrava claiming to have "sustained damages due to the impropriety in the case, diagnosis and treatment, including but not limited to over medicating and providing for artificial insemination at an inappropriate time".

RadarOnline.com has learned that Dr. Kamrava has been sued at least 12 times. Most of those lawsuits were dismissed. We are still working to get in touch with him for comment.

Meanwhile, the L.A. Times says that after reviewing federal records, it has found that Dr. Kamrava has one of the worst success rates of any fertility clinic in the country.
According to federal records reviewed by the Times, of the 61 procedures Kamrava conducted in 2006 -- the most recent data available -- only five resulted in pregnancies and only two of those resulted in births. One of those births was Suleman's twins.

"These are the worst numbers I've ever seen. This is absurdly low," said Dr. Mark Surrey, another fertility specialist in Beverly Hills.

But in Suleman, Kamrava found a patient who got pregnant and gave birth every time. For seven years, Suleman attempted to get pregnant through artificial insemination and fertility drugs. When she finally tried in vitro fertilization at Kamrava's clinic, it worked the first time, and each time after that.

The clinic has been the subject of growing controversy as questions mount into Suleman's repeated in vitro fertilation. Suleman gave birth to Octuplets last month. She already had had 6 children, also through in vitro.
