WHat handmade item did you like best for baby?

I have a friend who is going through IVF. It has been a looong painful journey. I want to make something for her baby (babies) but I am not sure what would be best.

I have another friend who had twins and I made them quilts. It took along time so I need to get started if it is going to be another set of multiples.

I can quilt, needlepoint, crotchet. I am sure I can figure out most things.

What would you like or what did you get that you liked?.

Of course if it is another set of boy / girl twins I will be devestated (GD) but will gladly suck it up if the little beans stick.

 

i loved the hand crocheted & knitted blankets we received. a friend also knitted some booties that i really liked. good luck to your friend & good luck deciding. keep us updated.

well, my friends are not the crafty type. but for me personally i think that gifts of blankets are overdone... meaning, that i got so many blankets when pg with DS that i never used them all. for DD my GF needlepointed me the sweetest baby plaque! seriously i LOVE the thing it is BEAUTIFUL and PERFECT and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

I loved the crotchet/knitted blankets for my boys. DS2 absolutely adored his and they have lasted through a lot. I think they are one of my favourite gifts to have received. A lovely handmade quilt would also be a wonderful gift. You are a very thoughtful friend
