OHSS

 Hi Dr Potter

I am about to start treatment (anovulatory PCO) and wonder once you start gonal f (150 units daily) how early can OHSS develop, and when should the first scan be? I have been told to have one day 6 but wonder if its worth having one sooner?.

also, due to timing of travel etc, we may be already on the road on day 6, therefore will a day 5 scan do just as well or do I really need to work it so I get a day 6 scan before we travel to centre?

We would normally do the first ultrasound on day 5 but day 6 is not unreasonable.  OHSS would not be apparent until probably day 8 or later
