Teradn's IVF/PGD Journey for a Daughter

Well the UPS guy just dropped off my stim meds anf trigger. Waiting on the Vivelle dots, PIO, and doxy to get here tomorrow or so. Last BCP is Friday, hoping to start stims on Monday. So fingers crossed AF co operates:) Getting very excited! And its my 10 yr wedding anniversary!

So I realize I hadn't updated after the prog dropping post. I did miscarry out lil girl on Aug 12th/13th. Had a D&C after hemorrhaging and her HB was not found. Fast forward two years , Dec 2009. I took a test to rule out being PG two weeks before our intake appt to go for IVF #2. And I was PG. Seems I ovulate every 9 yrs in Dec. Had baby boy #4, Saywer Lucas. Sweet lil bugger.

ok so prog was 9!!! yes,9!!! I immediately busted out the doppler and found her hb. Things sound fine. So I gave myself PIO right after the call. trying another week on PIO and then off one day, blooddraw and then see whats up.

Scared to death. I dont want to stop the PIO til at least 12 wks but what if  I have to beon it the whole pg? At some point the placenta has to kick in right?

Ok so today was our last RE visit, we hav ebeen discharged to our OB!!

Lil Miss measured right on with a good HB. She was hiding in the back, so we couldnt get a good read on bpm, but it was flickering away.

My last progesterone shot is Sat, so Monday I go for a blood draw and then that is it. 

My first OB visit is scheduled for August 13th, and we will have a dating US at her office. Silly I told them I already know  my EDD, but oh well another US to see lil miss is ok with me!

Still looking at names: Cadance Elysia, Alexandra Scarlett, Ava Grace, and Caitlin Elizabeth.

I bought a doppler hoping it will get here soon. She has 5 outfits, lol, I haven't shopped much yet. Still waiting to get thru to the 2nd trimester. I did pick up a carseat cover for the infant seat, ordered a matching diaper bag from a great seamtress on ebay. Its the same material as the cover, very cute! And of course the bedding DH picked out. I got some paint samples and am thinking of painting the room, but Gage will be sharing it with her, so I dont want to make it too girly.

Otherwise, MS is off and on thruout the day. I feel better than I did with my boys. I puked and puked with them. Starting to show now. Going to get out my box of mat clothes and see what will work for now.

Ok first off, there is justone lil girl in there! WHEW!!!

that is a relief we were freaking a bit....

She has a heartbeat of 116, there is a subchorionic hematoma in there as well, so that explains the bleeding last night. So we are on complete pelvic rest and no lifting over 10 pounds. So next week another US to make sure things are still ok.

I made my first appt with the OB for August 13th, of course they will do another US and see whats up.

Still thinking of names. Top 4 are Alexandra Scarlett, Isabel Josephine, Gianna Lucia, and Ava Grace. We will see......

And thru the house, not a creature was stirring, well i am. lol After two Anwser tests, 2 equates, 2 digi and countless IC, it still hasnt sunk in that I am PG. My bb's hurt, I totally can feel my uterus and the peeing, will it never end!!!!! the progesterone shots suck, but just 6 more weeks of those, I hope. I have this fear that my beta will be blank, that we had a chemical or that come time for the ultrasound, we find a blighted ovum or worse no hb. Then I worry about what if we find a HB and loose it? I have been thru that before, not fun. That miscarriage of our first baby girl has haunted me  for 3 yrs. I am doing all I can to make sure lil one is safe, but last time it was just plain bad luck......what if plain ol bad luck comes knocking again?

Worse, i feel bad for one of my friends. The week she has a D&C, is the week I announced my BFP. I am so sorry for her and the loss of her LO. I am trying to give her space and not be too happy about my own good news, it is hard. I love her to pieces and I so wanted to be PG with her as my buddy...[:'(]

OK Onto fun stuff we have names picked out. With practically everyone telling us it is twins, which for the record, I believe there is only one. I have decided on one full name and need a middle to go with the second name, if we need it.

So the answer test proves my ics are good.

 BFP for sure. gonna call tomorrow for a beta prolly friday but we will se when they want me in...

These two beauties were transferred today. I have taken the position that I am PG until proven otherwise!

 I will start tesing Friday. Trigger was gone as of yesterday!

not sure if the 5 cell will make it , he said it could go either way. But out of 4 really good embies, one has to be a girl right? God I hope so! I am scheduled for transfer on Wednesday, 10am. I find out tomorrow afternoon how many are boy or girl. Think pink think healthy!!!!

OMG, the stress is just killing me!

Nothing I can do, just wait and see what happens with our Fab 5. I am consumed with what if's. Terrified we wont have a girl in the bunch... What if none make it to PGD? I just dont know... This part is the hardest I think. I did well with the stims, not too bad. And now three days post ER, I feel much better. I just am so worried about our lil embies.... The embriologist said it would be a challenge to get a girl out only 5, but I have hope that there ahs to be at least one..... DH's sperm were a lil sluggish he said, so they decided to ICSI all 9. Girl sperm are slower right? Maybe, I think, and hope, that means that DH did produce a good bit more girls than boys? God I hope. My mind is rampant with ideas and theories. I want this SO BAD. and I want it to take the first time. I am sucha nervous wreck right now. And it kills me. I try to distract my mind, but this is do or die time, and there is a real possibility will such a low number to work with that many will die before the PGD biopsy....

Ok I jsut keep thinking about my dream: We had 4, 2 Blasts and 2 OK celled ones. And in my dream we put one very good and one ok in and froze the other two. I hope...

ok so the important news: we only got 9 eggs. I think we were aiming for 10 or so. Not too bad. The doc seemed happy with it. We are doing ICSI, so lets hope all 9 make it and fertilalize. The embryologist will call us tomorrow with the fert report...

I am in some pain, but not unbearable.

Also follies are 25+ in number, measuring pretty consistent at 8x8, 8x9 and so on. My lining is trilaminar and everything is going smoothly at this point. Added another name to the list: Gianna Lucia

lotsafollies, still feeling bloated.

So today I went for my stims check. First one. They did my ultrasound, took my blood and then I waited. And waited, and waited. Things got interesting when they got the E2 back. 75. hum, ok they say nope we will start you tomorrow.Ok, then they say,nope lets look at your lining and ovaries again. Oh and I have alot of follies, yippee! I wanna make some good high quality and hopefully girl friendly eggies. OK.....

Then they say, ok, we can start you today! LOL Too funny.

So here I am on 225IU of Follistim, 0.05 of Lupron, and dextamethasone. They are calling in my PIO, Estrace, more dexa meth, and who knows what else.

Funny thing is I can already feel something happening. I am already getting bloaty and crampy.FIRST DAY??? wow that stuff is some good stuff!

Update tomorrow on E2 and such. I will at least post E2 and  med changes.
