I am a newbie here finally taking the plunge with MS. I've been thinking about gender selection forever, even before we conceived our first son. I was going to do it for our second child but got pregnant by accident. Another son. We followed the Shettles method to the T for 6 months and conceived in January '07. Shortly after having a CVS test, I miscarried at 12 weeks. It was another son. We don't know whether the CVS caused the miscarriage but the baby had normal test results. That pregnancy and aftermath was hard and I told DH that I wasn't up to rolling the dice anymore. I have 2 brothers, 2 nephews, 2 male cousins and 2 sons of my own. No sisters, nieces etc. To add to the mix we have 2 male dogs, a male cat and a male guinea pig. We are ready for some pink around here! I do have a small flock of chickens, all hens, but they aren't much fun and don't let me dress them up. LOL
I was accepted into MS in April. Had my first consultation with a clinic in Bellevue, WA last month. We've decided to switch to HRC so that we can use live sperm and have a clinic more accepting of outside monitoring. My phone consult with Dr. Potter is 7/31. I want to do MS/IVF/PGD and not take any chances. It HAS to be a girl.
