Here I am starting just starting my 2 week wait.
We flew into Burbank on Thursday night arrived around 9pm. My BIL picked us up and took us to my DH's parents condo in S.Pasadena. It was funny he was asking us what we were going to do for our anniversary. That was our cover we told him we would be spending the day at Laguna Beach...not far from the truth. Anyways, we settled into the condo and tried to get some sleep. I set the alarm clock for 5:30 am (it's a 1.5 hours from Pasadena to Laguna Hills) and tried to sleep. Let's just say it was one of those nights where you have your eyes closed but you can't sleep. I finally started to dream towards 4.30 am and had a horrible dream something went wrong with MS. Anyways I woke up to my husband saying it's 7 am! "SHUT UP!" I yelled. We were supposed to be there at 7:30 for DH to leave his sample for the sort. I was almost crying as we were flinging our clothes on as fast as we could. I kept thinking that it was ruined because I didn't know if we skrewed everything up being late for the sort. I called and left a message that we would be late. We finally arrived and DH left his sample and our 2300.00 payment. We left to hang out around Laguna and went to breakfast and to the mall where I made my DH get a pedicure with me. We then went to Laguna Beach, it was so beautiful, sunny and warm. We had lunch and looked at all the cool shops there on the main strip.
Durring lunch I could feel some serious cramping, very painful. We went to our 3pm appointment and finally met Nancy. We were told that my big follie had burst and that is good, so it was on it's way down the tubes. Our Sort was 263,000 I was also told that was good. She said she has seen a pregnancy with as low as 39,000. I laid back, very much like a Gyno exam with speculum, she then inserted the syringe into the cervix and we watched on the monitor as the little sperms got pushed in. Nancy put a pillow under me and told me to wait. So I sat there with my bum elevated on this pillow for an hour! They had forgotten about us! DH finally went and asked if we could go. Hey I thought the extra 30 minutes couldnt hurt. We then went and paid our 200.00 for the IUI and left. I was dissapointed that Nancy didn't stay and chat with us a bit more and Dr.Potter wasnt even there (he was at a conference). I was told to not BD for two days and take a anitboitic for 3. That was it.
We went back to Pasadena and went out to a nice dinner. The next morning we went out to brunch with DH's family and then off to the airport back to Portland.
I definately am not going to get my hopes up, we will just wait and see.
Our 2 weeks end Halloween day!
I forgot to mention...my lining was an 11.
