This story is just like mine. BGM, or rather Acu-Gen told me I was having a girl and then they e-mailed me back and told me my test had changed and now I was having twins, a boy and a girl. I just took the test over today. I am SO sure that after they do my second blood test it will be a twin horror story about how one of them vanished. I've had 3 ultrasounds and they all came back with one baby. Thank goodness a state is willing to step up for the right of it's citizens.

Baby Gender Mentor named a "best product of the year" by DataMonitor, obviously a very on-the-ball company
No, you're not accidently reading "The Onion" by mistake, this really happened.
Baby Gender Mentor...

re: State attorney general investigates Baby Gender Mentor retailer for consumer fraud

My husband and I took this test at 8 weeks gestation. Our blood test results arrived via fedex on a monday morning at 9:21 am-we recieved an email stating we were having a another baby boy at 11:32 am that SAME DAY! How is this possible? Unless the AcuGen lab is located INSIDE a Fed Ex plane....yeah right!
Janah U. from Fla.

re: State attorney general investigates Baby Gender Mentor retailer for consumer fraud

I also took the Gender Mentor test at 7 weeks. Acu-Gen confirmed that I was having a boy. I just had my 20-week sonogram and was told that my sonogram unmistakeably shows that I am having a girl. Acu-Gen claims the presence of Y chromosome could be due to a previous miscarriage but there has not been one in my medical history to our knowledge. I feel that Acu-gen does not present all the facts to the consumer nor do they represent a true accuracy rating for their test. They say claim that to date they have never been incorrect but obviously that is not truthful based on the testimonials I have read on the internet and the fact that a class-action lawsuit is presently being pursued.

re: State attorney general investigates Baby Gender Mentor retailer for consumer fraud

T. It came back saying I was going to have a baby boy. I had a second ultrasound done and my doctor says it is without a doubt a girl. I called Acu-gene lab and told them the story. They said they double checked and it was a baby boy. Well, I find out in nine days when my doc. does the C-section.

re: State attorney general investigates Baby Gender Mentor retailer for consumer fraud

I also took the Baby Gender Mentor test and was told I'm having a girl. Myultrasound undeniably shows I am carrying a boy. This is my first child and already I have been through an emotional rollercoaster.
