Living in a testosterone zone and hoping for some girly company.
I'll be eating this as part of my girl diet even though some of the ingredients are forbidden...it is yummy!

I also used some of my weekly allotment of Parmesan cheese on top, and served it with rotini pasta. YUMMY!
About blessed
My husband's family is very boy heavy. In 1956, my DH's aunt was born. After her, DH's 2 uncles. One of them went on to have 2 sons.
My DH was born and was followed by 2 brothers. My DH and I had 2 sons, then DH's brother had a son.
In 2005, I had just begun to start "loosely" swaying for a DD (using the Preconception Gender Diet and Shettles) when I ovulated
early and fell pregnant 2 months earlier than we had planned. At my 15 week doctor's appointment, the dr. could not find my baby's heartbeat and I had an ultrasound that revealed my third child was another boy (a HEALTHY boy, thank goodness!). My third son was born in 2006, and later that year, DH's brother had a second son.
(An aside: My ILs took in a Polish exchange student who met her husband here and ended up staying. She has become her "surrogate" parents and now the "surrogate" grandparents of her children. Funny thing is, this girl has 3 sons, which means that my ILs unofficially have 8 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. Also, on DH's mother's side of the family, in the past seven years, 13 great-grandchildren of DH's grandpa have been born. After 9 boys in five years, a girl broke the run. Since her birth, there have been 2 more girls and 1 boy. That makes 10/13, or 13/16 if you include the exchange student. LOL)
I have always LOVED having boys. Growing up I was always friends with more boys than girls, and I really hoped that my first child would be a son. That said, I also felt pressure to have children of both genders, just because that's the "ideal", right?
As my second was another son, and my third yet another son, I was curious about what it would be like to have a daughter. I also wanted to see if swaying REALLY worked, because I figured if it worked on me, it would be a miracle!
I found In-Gender and tried a variety of things in my swaying attempt. Some things were not comfortable for me so I didn't bother with them, some things I did despite discomfort, and other things were just plain easy. I thought it was all a game, and never ever expected that I'd get a daughter out of it.
Well, DH and I were ttc for 7 months before I found In-Gender. In the 8th month, I started learning about swaying methods and began trying them out. By our 12th month ttc I was done with ttc and decided to stop the swaying. Girl or boy, I was ready to just be pregnant. The first thing I decided to stop was the frequent BDing. Well, guess what! That was the ticket.
We found out that our baby was a DD when I was about 18 weeks along. I had had some very vivid gender dreams about her that I could not NOT believe. However, I still asked about my baby's gender at each of my 6 ultrasounds, acting like I didn't know. Five times they told me, 100% girl!
My daughter was born in May 2008, and nine months later, DH's second brother and his wife welcomed their first child - a daughter - as well. I am so happy to have the first girl in so many years, but so very thrilled that she has a girl cousin in the sea of boys. These will be some well-protected little princesses!
I am so grateful to Maureen for starting In-Gender, and for all of the ladies here who were such an amazing support to me, and welcomed me even though I didn't really experience gender-disappointment. I love my little princess just as I love my 3 princes and our family is wonderfully complete with our 4 little munchkins. :)
